This year's AGM was the 50th AGM in the club's history, and what better way to mark the occasion than with 3 competition titles to our name - 2 Dublin and District League runners-up and 1 D&D Cup runners-up. Not to mention all the teams who got to the quarters and semi finals this year. All in all a fantastic year for Danum.
The 2012/2013 committee were elected and are as follows:
Captain: Charlie Smith
Vice Captain: Hazel Graham
Secretary: Carmel Corbett
Match Secretary: Fiona Kevitt
Treasurer: John Healy
Children's Officer: Gerry Gaffney
Thank you to last year's committee for all their hard work throughout the season, and a special thanks to Evelyn Jones who is standing down from the committee this year.
Roll on next season!

Two, yes, two Danum teams made it to the finals of the Dublin and District League for the 2011-12 season.
Congratulations to Ladies 5 who narrowly lost out to An Caislean Nua on Friday. A great achievement nonetheless.

Thanks to Rachel who stepped in to sub at the last minute, as team captain Simone Harney was unable to play.
Also congratulations to Mixed 2, who lost out, once again, to St Laurence's. It was a hard fought 5-1 defeat that doesn't reflect the closeness of the matches, and could very easily have been 4-4 draw. The Danum team played out of their collective skins, but were just outplayed on the day.

Thanks to Charlie who stepped in at the last minute as James O'Toole couldn't play.
Thanks also to all those who came to support all our teams from the play-offs right up to the finals, and to those who were on stand-by as injury subs and thankfully weren't needed in the end!
On with the Club Championships and the end of season round up at the AGM.

Firstly, comiserations to Mixed 2 who were narrowly beaten in the Inter League Semi Finals yesterday. In a closely fought 4-4 draw, they were pipped at the post by 11 sets to 10. However, there was some great badminton played, and it was a very exciting match to watch.
Congratulations to Ladies 2, Ladies 5, Mixed 1 and Mixed 2 who are all competing in the semi-finals this weekend in Baldoyle Badminton centre. Come and show your support if you can!
